St Julians

The rather modern town of St Julians, while retaining much of the typical Mediterranean culture inherent in the Maltese islands, is also the entertainment capital offering anything you can imagine that is fun and leisure.

Situated on the East coast of the island, St Julians is one of the major tourist resorts of Malta. The area comprising Paceville, Portomaso and St George's Bay has been dubbed the Golden Mile since it has the highest concentration of five-star hotels on the Maltese islands.

Meanwhile, Paceville, a small district within St Julians, is the definite nightlife hotspot. There, and spilling out into the rest of St Julians, you will find an array of clubs, casinos, bars, restaurants, hotels, health spas, cinemas, bowling, water sports, rocky and sandy beaches, shopping... name it, it's bound to be there!

A more recent phenomenon is the ever growing presence of English-language schools for foreigners, adding to the international feel of the place with many of these students hanging around the area throughout their stay.

Take a walk along the sea-side promenade which runs along the coast towards nearby Sliema, to enjoy a contrasting view of quaint fishing boats bobbing outside boutique hotels and contemporary artistic monuments.

Visit St Julians for an experience for all the senses, and good times to remember, whether by day or by night!
